Privacy policy

    The Ward ehf. attaches great importance to ensuring the protection of personal information and that its processing is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The privacy policy covers the collection and processing of personal information in Ward ehf.'s communications. with their customers. The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform customers of Ward ehf. about how and why personal data is collected and how it is handled. The privacy policy is based on law no. 90/2018 on personal protection and processing of personal information.

    What personal information does The Ward ehf collect?

    Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable individual; A person is considered personally identifiable if they can be identified, directly or indirectly, such as by reference to an identifier such as a name, social security number, location data, online ID or one or more factors that characterize them in a physical, physiological, genetic, mental, financial, cultural or socially.

    The Ward ehf. collects various types of personal information about its customers and their contacts, in the case of legal entities. The processing of personal information can e.g. regarding:

    What purpose does The Ward ehf. with personal information?
    The Ward ehf. uses personal information to provide services to customers, including:

    • in order to identify and contact customers.
    • to record appointments for individual treatments.
    • in order to provide services to customers.
    • in order to receive payments from customers.
    • When individuals contact The Ward ehf. through the company's website or by e-mail, it is understood that they thereby agree to the registration and use of The Ward ehf. on the personal information that appears in the relevant communication.

    How does The Ward ehf. retain personal information?

    The Ward ehf. stores personal information securely and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

    The Ward ehf. retains personal information about customers for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected. The Ward ehf. preserves data related to customers, incl. personal data, normally no longer than five years from the end of physical therapy, with the exception of data that The Ward ehf. is obliged to preserve longer according to the law or if there is a valid reason for their continued preservation.

    Accounting data in connection with the services of The Ward ehf. to customers are preserved in accordance with the Accounting Act no. 145/1994, according to which accounting data must be kept for seven years from the end of the respective fiscal year.

    Recipients of personal information

    The Ward ehf. does not pass on personal information about customers to third parties except with their unequivocal consent or in order to fulfill obligations under a contract.

    The Ward ehf. does not share personal information with third parties located outside the EEA unless authorized to do so based on applicable privacy laws and regulations.

    Rights of data subjects

    Customers have the right to receive information about and access to personal information about themselves that The Ward ehf. has hands. They have the right to withdraw their consent to consent-based processing of personal data at any time. They also have the right to request that their personal data be corrected, deleted or limited, or to object to such processing. In certain cases, they may also have the right to the transfer of personal information that they have given to The Ward ehf. to another responsible party. However, the aforementioned rights may be limited by applicable laws and regulations.

    Customers have the right to information about the origin of personal information that is not obtained from them.
